No, cold sores are from a virus so it will not effect the cold sore.


Zovirax or something similar is especially formulated for cold sores and lower the severity and quicken the healing of the sore. stick with that.Does antibiotic cream help cure cold sores?
Get your doc to prescribe Silvadine (sp?) Its very pricey and for some reason they don't like to do it, so just say that's what you used at another docs and it works. It also helps prevent future outbreaks and even lessens any future episodes you might have.
