What treatment can I use for mange on my cat's ears? Some kind of antibiotic or cream?

I don't have the money to spend on tests to find out it's mange, when I already know what it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and soon is good...it has spread to her other ear. What treatment can I use for mange on my cat's ears? Some kind of antibiotic or cream?
If your cat has mange, it's HIGHLY contagous and even YOU can get it.

Mange is an infestation of skin mites and YOU can get them from your cat. How does that sound? Fun?

There is NO home treatment for mange as it is often treated with pesticides that are given through shots.

Take your cat to the vet. What treatment can I use for mange on my cat's ears? Some kind of antibiotic or cream?
How do you know it is mange? Did you do a skin scraping? It could be another skin disease, such as ringworm, or could be related to the cat scratching due to an ear infection or ear mites. You really need to have the cat looked at to determine an exact cause. Mange is not all that common in cats. So no, I wouldn't recommend any cream or ointment. Also, anything you use, the cat can lick off, so you really shouldn't use anything.
Since mange mites are microscopic, you can't know what it is just by looking. I suggest begging or borrowing some money and having your cat seen by a vet. Using the wrong treatment is not going to fix the problem.
If you don't have money to spend on a pet, why have one?

It would be more likely that your cat has ear mites. They scratch the ear so much the fur falls out.

Get some Revoultion from your vet, it only cost 14.00
I hate to keep having to say this, but if you can't afford the care, you shouldn't have the pet. Either get her to the vet for treatment or give her a new home. You cannot get any treatment for it over the counter. Notoedric mange is treated with Amitraz or Ivermectin, which are both prescription only. In the off chance it's not mange, it could be ringworm, which should also be treated with anti-fungals from the vet.

So get the care or find a new home. Call your vet and see if they can set up a payment plan.
Cats generally don't get mange. It could be ring worm. If you have any itchy spots that are round and raised or if anyone else in your family does, have it checked.

Otherwise, you need a veterinarian to help determine what it is so that it may be properly treated.

Good luck
