Is it possible for a wound that needs stitches to cure alone with the proper care like antibiotic cream etc?

Yes. It's possible to do even without the antibiotic cream- people did for hundreds of years. However, you will have a nastier scar in the end, and be more likely to develop an infection if you don't opt for sutures when they are needed. Depending on how deep the cut is, and if there is anything else damaged besides skin, you could also have permanent problems. If you nicked or cut a tendon, you will lose function and a later surgical repair won't be able to fix things perfectly. Unsutured wounds also take longer to heal. So best thing is really sutures- to assist nature healing. Is it possible for a wound that needs stitches to cure alone with the proper care like antibiotic cream etc?
You can butterfly stitch it. Just put some bandaid type stuff together and close the wound as best as you can and it should heal nicely without any cream.

Also just because you go to doctors doesnt mean they will do what should be done. My daughter cut her hand pretty deep on some glass and they were suppose to actually stitch it and they just butterfly stitched it. Anyways it opened back up and I took her back and they told me there was nothing they could do as it was 24 hours after the fact. Have it stitched dont have it. Its really up to you and how you look after it
