Do you like ice cream with hormones and antibiotics?

I like ice cream with beer and sushiDo you like ice cream with hormones and antibiotics?
I prefer it with chocolate sauce and nuts. Guessing that you don't have any of those...

Is the ice cream supply being loaded with toxins now to? Soooo sick of our food being less and less safe these days. Is there anything left to eat that isn't going to harm us?Do you like ice cream with hormones and antibiotics?
of course! it makes it taste soooo much better! :)
Errrr uhmmm a Big NO on that LOL
No. I would definitely prefer ice cream made from organic milk/cream.
why the hell would anyone eat ice cream with that in it? I prefer Coffee Heath Bar Crunch from Ben and jerry's
Nope...
If that is legal then I guess it is okay. (A baseball player got 50 games suspension for a listed drug, so what gives?) Is the ice cream trade that picky? I sure hope so. Have a good day.

It all starts with the basics:

1. intake of filtered water (I drink a gallon a day

2. nutrition (will heal anything if you get enough of it)

3. stress (most of it self induced, what you focus on in lif is what you get, whether its positive and negative

4. exercise (just walking 30 min a day will help toxins move out of the body

Here are some ideas to heal the issue.

Quick Action Plan for Acne

1. Massage your skin, where needed, with bergamot, camphor, geranium, juniper, lavender, or neroli essential oils.

2. Ayurvedic practitioners recommend making a paste of 陆 tsp each of turmeric and sandalwood paste with enough water, and applying to pimples. Also, drink half a cup of aloe vera juice twice daily until acne clears.

3. Eat an organic whole foods diet, with plenty of organic cooked and raw vegetables, and whole fruits. Reduce animal fats and stressor foods such as caffeine, refined sugars, and alcohol, as well as colas, candies, and frozen and processed foods. Include more high fiber foods.

4. Drink eight glasses of pure, filtered water daily. Also, daily have two glasses of raw juice, combining carrot, beet, and celery juice, or, carrot, cucumber, and lettuce (not iceberg), and spinach, with carrot predominating.

5. Add 3-5 drops of crab apple flower essence to pure water and drink during the day. Rescue Remedy庐 is good for stress.

6. Combine the tinctures of herbs such as sarsaparilla, burdock, and cleavers in equal parts, taking 陆 tsp three times a day. Drink an infusion of nettle several times a day and apply tea tree oil topically. An infusion of calendula mixed with equal parts of distilled witch hazel can be used as a cleansing wash. Steam sauna your face with red clover, lavender, and strawberry leaves.

7. Useful homeopathy remedies are Pulsatilla, Silicea, Berberis, Ledum, Sulfur, Arsen alb., Belladonna, and/or Carbo veg.

8. Enjoy full body immersion hydrotherapy treatments such as steam baths, saunas, sitz baths, colonic irrigation, hot and/or cold compresses, and steam sauna your face with red clover, lavender, and strawberry leaves.

9. Useful supplements are vitamin A, beta carotene, vitamin B complex, vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin E, and zinc. Also include omega-3 fatty acids, brewer's yeast, chlorophyll, and pancreatic enzymes with meals.

10. Expose your face to sun and air at least 30 minutes a day, and exercise daily. Keep your skin clean by washing your face three times a day with soap made from the herb calendula officinalis, or using other alternatives to soap. Rinse with warm water and pat dry. Squeezing pimples or whiteheads may cause infection. Keep the skin free of oil and use water-based products. Get sufficient sleep.

11. Make facial masks from natural products; leave on overnight to help dry the skin if acne is caused by excess oil.

12. For long term relief and health be sure to do a colon cleanse. This clears out the toxins in the blood and excess waste in the body. Colon cleansing will healp clear up a lot of issue, expecially acne.

Cause

Acne may be worsened at adolescence, during the pre-menstrual and/or mid-menstrual cycle due to hormonal action, and when under stress, on contraceptives, eating a poor diet that causes an over acidic system, or taking prescription and non-prescription drugs.

Blackheads can form when the oil combines with skin pigments and gets trapped. Blackheads may suggest the need for better hygiene, or magnesium and vitamin A. Chronic, numerous whiteheads can also form during acne outbreaks, suggesting vitamin B1 deficiency or absorption problems. Consistent raised spots on the outside of the arms and sometimes even the thighs, resembling ';chicken skin,'; may suggest need for magnesium, vitamin A, or essential fatty acids or the need to avoid foods that inhibit the absorption of these nutrients, such as trans-fatty acids found in margarine and hydrogenated oils, such as cottonseed oil and palm kernel oil.

Food allergies, allergies to facial creams, soaps, shampoos, makeup, and excess intake of refined sugars, can all cause or contribute to acne. Certain foods can also aggravate acne conditions because of their high-acid forming effects on the body, especially fried foods, trans fats, iodized salt, alcohol, hot and spicy foods, all processed foods, chocolate, fruit juices, carbonated beverages, caffeinated beverages, and dairy products. Excessive long-term intake of seafood or other high iodine foods may also cause acne in some people.

Coexisting gum problems suggest the need for folic acid. A separate acne condition may occur in women 30-40 years old due to physical exercising or working all day with face makeup, lowered resistance due to stress, or hyper-response to bacteria or hormone problems. Another acne problem, acne rosacea (reddish spots in a pattern over nose and cheeks), may be a sign of low B vitamins or low hydrochloric acid in the stomach.

sorry, a doctor might be able to prescribe medication that will help all the cleaning products, but acne is mostly hereditary, and time is the best healer.

Are eggwhites, milk of magnesia, whipped cream, blood & liquid antibiotics Colloids?

examples of solution, suspensions and colloidsAre eggwhites, milk of magnesia, whipped cream, blood %26amp; liquid antibiotics Colloids?
Yes you are right.

In general, a colloid or colloidal dispersion is a substance with components of one or two phases, a type of mixture intermediate between a homogeneous mixture (also called a solution) and a heterogeneous mixture with properties also intermediate between the two.

Eg.- butter, blood, milk, cream, aerosols (fog, smog, smoke), asphalt, inks, paints, glues, and sea foam

A suspension is a colloidal dispersion (mixture) in which a finely-divided species is combined with another species, with the former being so finely divided and mixed that it doesn't rapidly settle out.

Eg- Mayonnaise, Gelatin ,milk of magnesia

A solution is a homogeneous mixture composed of two or more substances, known as solutes, dissolved in another substance, known as a solvent. A common example is a solid, such as salt or sugar, dissolved in water, a liquid. Gases may dissolve in liquids, for example, carbon dioxide or oxygen in water. Liquids may dissolve in other liquids and gases in other gases.

  • Is it safe to use steriod cream and antibiotics together? worried :(?

I was prescribed yesterday morning with a steriod cream off my gp as i have chronic itching due to a bacterial skin condtion then in the afternoon i went to the dentists and they prescribed me amoxicillin as i have a mouth infection as my wisdom teeth are rotten.

Im 22 weeks pregnant, im really worried about taking these two together the cream does not seem to be working yet and is not coolin the itching at all, can i take them both together without doing any harm im really fretting about this as i usually get bad tummy with antibiotics but i wont take them if it poses a risk to my baby.

Thanks for reading be so grateful for any advice

I dont think so if they doctor said It was alright then it is. But if your still worried get a second opinionIs it safe to use steriod cream and antibiotics together? worried :(?
I had a lung infection while pregnant so had antibiotics. The placenta filters out most things and as this is a prescription drug you should be fine. I would check with your GP though as the prescription came from the dentist.

I can't answer the steroid question but as that came from the GP it is surely safe? I can't see how a cream applied to the surface of the body could find it's way to the placenta and the baby.
if a GP perscribed them both I'd say you'll be fine. i can't see mixing cream and oral tablets being used at the same time causing any problems. Why don't you contact your GP or midwife?
    yeah its fine

antibiotics is only mould from cheese
I would phone the GP or the pharmacist. They will be able to tell you if there are any problems with the two.

Are there any good creams/antibiotics for minor cuts and scrapes on a little pup?

neosporin? Are there any good creams/antibiotics for minor cuts and scrapes on a little pup?
Neosporin is fine, bactine is a good cleansing rinse also. The problem is that if you put neosporin on cuts, dogs tend to lick it off, continually opening the wound. If the cut scabs up on itself and the dog isn't bothering it, leave it alone. If the cut is in a place the dog can't get to (like the top of the head or on the shoulders) then you can put something on it, knowing the dog can't further irritate it by trying to lick the product off.Are there any good creams/antibiotics for minor cuts and scrapes on a little pup?
use bag balm totally animal safe works great and We raise dogs we know

    you can safely use neosporin
Tea Tree oil works the best. You can get this at a natural remedy store. It works great on any kind of wound and can be used on people as well.
polysporin is fine to use on minor cuts and scraps on your pets . my cousin is a vet and my cat came home with a cut on his ear and i took him in and she said to use this on him it is perfectly fine to use on a pet and will not make them sick if they lick it off.
my vet told me to use neosporin on my cat, so yes
People antibiotics are not safe for pets. Get some

creams/antibiotics from a vet's office. They are safe for animals. Usually if the animal is licking the wound, it will heal on it's own. Use the cream only if the wound is were a dog can't lick.

Does antibiotic cream help cure cold sores?

if so how long does it take? thankss ![=Does antibiotic cream help cure cold sores?
No, cold sores are from a virus so it will not effect the cold sore.

Zovirax or something similar is especially formulated for cold sores and lower the severity and quicken the healing of the sore. stick with that.Does antibiotic cream help cure cold sores?
Get your doc to prescribe Silvadine (sp?) Its very pricey and for some reason they don't like to do it, so just say that's what you used at another docs and it works. It also helps prevent future outbreaks and even lessens any future episodes you might have.

Why is antibiotic cream harmful for children under the age of two?

I have a under one year old who cut her pointer finger straight through the nail and she also has a blood blister on the top of it. So I was going to put polysporin on it until I read the warning label. Does anyone suggest anything else to keep this injury clean? Is a doctor visit needed? Why is antibiotic cream harmful for children under the age of two?
I believe its because they put too many things in their mouths and its not good to ingest it. Mild soap and warm (not hot) water a few times a day. You also might try New Skin. It helps rebuild the skin faster and keeps infection out but be warned it stings really bad for a few minutes

    Hi there,

Here is some info I give to my patients on acne.

Acne is usually considered an adolescent affliction affecting up to 80 percent of teenagers. Although acne occurs most commonly in adolescent males, it can affect people of any age.

    Symptoms

Acne vulgaris, the most common form of acne, consists of whiteheads, blackheads, pimples and deep cysts that appear mainly on the face and to a lesser extent on the chest, shoulders and back.

Acne is often worse during winter, improving during summer.

    Causes

Acne commences when the sebaceous ducts in the skin become blocked by skin overgrowth to form a whitehead, or by plugs of sebum which darken on exposure to air forming a blackhead.

When the sebum trapped in the whitehead or blackhead is forced into the deeper skin layers, an inflammatory reaction causes a red lump called a papule. If infection follows, pus collects and the classic pimple (pustule) is seen. When the inflammatory condition is severe, large, painful cysts may form.

Acne is associated with hormonal imbalance, and will typically develop during puberty when hormonal activity increases the size and activity of the sebaceous glands. Some women also experience acne as a component of pre-menstrual syndrome.

The naturopathic view is that acne is aggravated by ineffective elimination from the body, which may be related to a build up of toxins in the system due to an inability of the liver to effectively break down circulatory toxins. It can also be initiated by food sensitivities, poor diet and stress.

    Natural Therapies

Zinc is an essential mineral used for wound healing and the normal oil gland function of the skin. It is also involved in the maintenance of vitamin A levels, transport and usage; for protein synthesis, (particularly collagen synthesis); and to help maintain hormonal balance.

Beta-carotene is transformed into vitamin A in the body. These two nutrients act as skin antioxidants, and may be of assistance in the treatment of acne, other skin conditions, and the healing of wounds.

Sulphur is traditionally indicated as a liver tonic to support the body's detoxification processes, and for a variety of skin conditions including acne which are associated with sluggish liver function. A liver detox usually helps.

Echinacea has been extensively investigated and has been found to have a variety of actions on the immune system, including antibacterial and antiviral activity.

Calendula has traditionally been used for the treatment of skin infection and to assist wound healing.

Vitex Agnus-Castus is indicated for acne problems which are worse pre-menstrually

    Important Notes

If acne is severe or deep, vigorous treatment is required to reduce scarring. For severe, deep lesions topical treatment is unsatisfactory. Consultation with your health professional is advised.

    Prevention

There are conflicting theories about direct dietary influences on acne.

The best approach is to adopt a healthy well balanced diet high in fibre, filtered water and fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid refined or processed foods, sugars and high-fat foods.

Regular exercise is great for your skin, as it improves your circulation and aids in the removal of toxins. Try brisk walking, jogging swimming or any active sport 3 - 4 times per week.

    Hope this helps.

    Craig - Naturopath.
Sounds like the same thing my daughter went through. The only thing that will work if you've done all the oral antibiotics is Accutane. straight up, its Vitamin A. Lots of restrictions and very costly, but after 5 months not one pimple, white head or bump. Plus she has been off it for 3 months with no recurrence. My nephew also used it, he had great results, but did develop some zits from shaving. but nothing like the original. don't let the cost and FDA stuff scare you, this stuff really works and you'll see that when you see the improvement in his mental as well as his physical being.
You can try the timewise 3-in-1 cleansing bar of Mary Kay as well as the blemish control toner. It is effective!!!

What are the best antibiotics & acne creams that actually work from experience?

I have mild-moderate acneWhat are the best antibiotics %26amp; acne creams that actually work from experience?
I had acne for several years since I was a child. The antibiotic that worked for me was minocycline. This is a pill. Topically I had success with erythomicin and clindamycin. However, everyone is different and some products can aggravate your condition. A dermatologist can work with you to determine what treatment works best for you. What are the best antibiotics %26amp; acne creams that actually work from experience?
Quinoderm has made a huge difference to my son`s acne he suffers really bad from it ,but this cream is like a miracle for him its only about 拢 3 a tube .

I bought it at Boots but i suppose you can get it in any chemist
I was put on Roaccutane, it's a really strong antibiotic that you go on for about 4 months. The only way to get it is through your GP who will then pass you onto a dermatologist. I had mild acne aswell.

I have been off it for a year now, and i rarely get spots. Maybe one or two but thats about it.

    Good Luck :)
There are three oral antibiotics in current use, minocycline and lymecycline are the better 2 but erythromycin is also sometimes useful. Topical cleansers are much of a muchness, but I tend to recommend Panoxyl.

The topical antibiotic roll ons can help localised low level disease. Of these Clindamycin is often the best.
I use AcneFree. It's avaliable at Walgreens.

$20. I've had good luck with it.
Im not sure about antibiotics except that they are very important.. the doctor would have to choose one that isn't harmful to take long term.

Retin-A worked very well for me, was expensive and VERY harsh, but now a regular benzoyl peroxide works very well and isn't as skin drying/peeling/grossing, it was prescribed but there is a store version (clerasil)

  • Can antibiotics help clear up yeast infection discharges since i'm through with my cream?

NO. Antibiotics can cause yeast infections. If you used all the cream, and are still having a discharge, then you should go to the Dr.Can antibiotics help clear up yeast infection discharges since i'm through with my cream?
Prescriptions from the doctor would usually be Canestan pessaries or creams. These creams are typically available off the shelves of any pharmacy. however, you can also make use of live plain yogurt which is soothing and help to clear a mild attack of thrush.

In addition, douching twice daily with 10 drops of tea tree oil in a pint of warm water or using tea tre cream can be very effective. Tea tree has a mild local anaesthetic effect which is very helpful for itching and soreness. Garlic douches, two crushed cloves in a pint of warm water can also bring relief. ';Cervaygn'; vaginal cream, a blend of acidophilus with emollients derived from vegetable oils, helps to maintain normal vaginal flora and penetrates deeply into the vaginal tissue.

Injured hand. what antibiotics/cream should i use?

to start off i will explain how my hand got injured:

it might sound weird to some but, I was stringing a large homemade crossbow type weapon i use for fun on my farm. i have been usin this thing to launch all kinds of projectiles for years(dont worry i have 30 acres.. dont lecture me on safety) well i guess it was time to change the large gauge steel cable i use because while it was under tension it snapped. the cable then whipped my hand, severing it almost entirely through bone and tissue about midway up. the fingers+ rest of the hand was held on just by some skin. so i went into the house and wraped it and a towel. luckily it clotted due to a well placed turniquit *sp?* as i stated before i live on a rural farm and it is a hassle to get to a hospital. once it was thouroly cleaned out I

had a friend stich the hand back together since he stiches leather boots for a living. the cut started to fester an looks like it has fly larvae in it-its humid so theres alot of flysInjured hand. what antibiotics/cream should i use?
You should go to a hospital. What your friend stitched you up with could cause an infection. For a cream use polysporin, doctors recommend it. You may need x-rays too...is anything broken. You don't want to lose a hand because you were afraid to go to the hospital. good luck.Injured hand. what antibiotics/cream should i use?
This is no job for neosporin or any isopropyl alcohol. If the cable has cut your bones and muscles, your best bet is to have a doctor realigne your bones so it grows back in the right spot. Good luck!

triple anti-biotic cream should helpAntibiotic creams?
try some tea tree oil... it is known for its anti-fungal and antiseptic products.. it is a ';cure-all';, 100% natural, and doesn't hurt.. very cheap.. i crushed my finger in my cardoor last friday and it tore it up pretty bad.. the skin above the fingernail too.. and tea tree oil healed it really good.. and didn't sting or anything like that.. :) i'd give it a try. it'd also be good for the boil as it draws out stuff.. very good for acne too.. :)

Is econazole nitrate cream 1% safe to use on a 15 month-old for a yeast infection caused by antibiotics?

I would either call your doctor or ask a pharmacist this question before putting it on a baby's skin.

Do antibiotic creams like neosporin clog up pores on the face?

No it doesn'tDo antibiotic creams like neosporin clog up pores on the face?
i would think so its full of oilDo antibiotic creams like neosporin clog up pores on the face?
If the neosporin is in CREAM form, no. It will not clog your pores. However, the ointment tends to because of the petroleum jelly base. The main thing to realize, it IS an antibiotic therapy, so the chance of either causing major problems or new skin problems such as acne, is relatively nil! Hope this helps you!

What is contact dermatitis,is it treatable, been on antibiotics and cream but only supress symtoms that recur,?

its a four year old,has suffered contact dermatitis, whitish scaly patches are the symptoms.itchy, sometimes come as rashes on the face,do we have any hope or is it a sign to an illness that has not been discovered,What is contact dermatitis,is it treatable, been on antibiotics and cream but only supress symtoms that recur,?
Best treatment option is to find out what the allergen is and avoid it. Contact dermatitis shouldn't recur if you can't contact the allergen again. Another common cause for rashes on little kids' face is atopic dermatitis(eczema), and this is frequently infected with staph aureous on top. This would explain why the MD gave you antibiotics and cream because you don't use antibiotics for contact dermatitis. It can also be psoriasis, which is sometimes infected with Group A Strept, also explains the combo treatment used by your doc. Both of these conditions come and go, atopic dermatitis is genetic and tends to occur in families that have other members with eczema and/or asthma, it's less severe than psoriasis. What is contact dermatitis,is it treatable, been on antibiotics and cream but only supress symtoms that recur,?
I've been treated for that a couple of times. My rash always occurs around my rings (yes, they're gold). The MD explained it that it can occur from soap and other cleaners being trapped around the ring and irritating the surrounding skin. My rash manifests itself by itchy, reddened, raised skin, sometimes accompanied by little, tiny water blisters. My MD prescribes a steroid cream that usually clears it up in about 5 days, but looks %26amp; feels better after 2 days of treatment.
i dont have time to type my whole story - but i just will say be wary of antibiotics at young age. im not qualified to advise, of course docs are the ones to listen to but i have read articles linking early antibiotic use to conditions such as asthma and eczema in later life. i was given antibiotics at a young age for a minor illness - flu/chest infection i think - and developed both conditions later in infancy and they stuck with me for years. ill see if i can find a link.
It's not nice, I have it, tried every test possible, all you can do is to get cream from your doctor an deal with it. Use lots of cream after washing, Te tree oil cream is super excellent and cheap.

  • Will triple antibiotic ointment/creams cure b.o.? if so, whats the proper way to use it?

i have this problem and my dermatologist suggested erythromycin. when that didn't work, she suggested driclor and erythromycin with clindmycin. that didn't work either. what will i do to cure my body odor? please help! Will triple antibiotic ointment/creams cure b.o.? if so, whats the proper way to use it?
My dermatologist told me that I have a condition called ';Bromhydrosis'; which is why my armpits have terrible odor even though I am not actually perspiring. I have tried Botox in the past and it did stop sweating but not the odor. I am currently on a regimen that my doctor prescribed and it is working well. I have to wash my armpits twice daily with a prescribed Acne wash called Benzoclin (the acne wash gets rid of the odor causing bacteria on your skin) and then after washing I have to put on Clindamycin gel and let it dry. After that I have to use Arid XXtra Dry spray deodorant (my derm says it is the best on the market) and let it dry as well. I know that this seems like it takes a lot of time but it is definitely worth it to me to not have to worry about smelling bad. Maybe you could ask your dermatologist about adding the wash to your regimen and see if that helps with the clindamycin they have already prescribed. I hope that this helps you! I know how bad it is to feel like you always smell bad and no one seems to understand, my bf seems to think that all body odor is related to diet, well we both eat the exact same thing and he never smells! Good luck! Will triple antibiotic ointment/creams cure b.o.? if so, whats the proper way to use it?
I got it at Walgreens, but I have also seen it at Kroger ( a local grocery store). I think that Target might carry it as well. Good luck! Report Abuse

Red meat is the number one cause of body odor. Red meat causes stagnation in the body; it putrefies in the gut. A plant-based diet is an internal deodorizer. Some of the best foods for that include parsley, cilantro, celery and all mints. Aromatic cleansers: sage, rosemary, thyme oregano, etc Report Abuse

    a
Oh my I just got botox injections and it worked wonders for my b.o., as well as sweat!!!!!!!!!! it was awesome, I totally recommend it and it barely hurt, it was more of a pinch rather than an injection pain :) I would totally do it again in a heart beat, in fact, I will in a couple of years
Where exactly is the odor from?

I mean, you can'tbe rubbing antibiotics on your armpits.

Perhaps you need a new doctor.

    Or a bath.
a lady who works with elderly patients told me

she uses Shaving Cream to stop odors from

BO %26amp; Urine she wipes it on and off and sometimes

has the person use it as soap

she said they have tried different products but the

    generic shaving creams work well

you might want to try that

    good luck

or make a paste of wet baking soda in a sock and

rub that on in the shower
I know that when I get out of the shower if I don't put on deodorant my arm pits stink within just a few minutes.

I've never heard of any creams or ointments to cure BO. That doesn't make since to me. You could try to shower twice a day (morning, and when you get home), try to use different deodorants each day. If you have excessive weight sometimes losing a few pounds can help.

Diet can also affect the way your body smells. Try eating more fruits and veggies, stay away from greesy foods and fast food.

    Good luck!

Is it okay to eat ice cream while on strong antibiotics?

my dad told me you cant drink milk while on antibiotics because it does something to you. I recently came down with toxic shock syndrome and had to stay a week in the hospital. Im on really strong antibiotics now and I was just wondering if eating ice cream would cause some kind of bad effect since it is mostly milk.Is it okay to eat ice cream while on strong antibiotics?
I don't think so. It's ok.Is it okay to eat ice cream while on strong antibiotics?
I'm sure there was a medication handout when you picked up your presciption. You need to read this. It will tell you if milk interacts with this medication. If you can't find the handout, then call the pharmacy where you got the medication. If there is a milk interaction, there is usually a warning label on the bottle itself. If no warning is present on the bottle, then the ice cream is probably OK to eat.
I've never heard that. It should be okay.

Prescribed antibiotic & OTC yeast infection cream at the same time??

azithromycin 5 day pack aka z-pac

    %26amp;

    tioconazole 6.5 % 1 day treatment aka monistat-1

I just stared the z-pac treatment today, took the first 2 pills about 1/2 hour ago. Can I take the monistat too or should I wait %26amp; see if the z-pac treats both the chest/sinus infection %26amp; the yeast infection?Prescribed antibiotic %26amp; OTC yeast infection cream at the same time??
I would wait a few days before treating the yeast infection, the antibiotic may cause it to get worse. antibiotics such as azithromycin are broad spectrum and kill all bacteria in the body including the good ones since enhances chance of yeast infection. If you already have one theres a good chance it will get worse. You could start on some of the oral OTC meds out there to control symptoms, AZO makes one. There are also probiotics that help to maintain balance in the body, acidophilus is a good one, you can buy it at any drug store.

hope this helps..!Prescribed antibiotic %26amp; OTC yeast infection cream at the same time??
The antibiotic is not going to treat the yeast infection, it causes a yeast infection because it kills healthy bacteria in the body at the same time its killing the bad bacteria. If you are having symptoms from the yeast infection now that you cant live with, you can go ahead and take the monistat now, or you may want to wait until your close to finished with the zpac to insure the yeast infection doesnt return.

My dog's eyes are infected. Vet gave antibiotic pills/cream & Its worse. Now vet says Chlymidia. How...help?!?

My dog has something wrong with her eyes. They are oozing nasty stuff, she keeps them squinted (she can open if she wants to) and they are bulging (she looks like one of those fish with huge eyes). We took her to vet a few days ago and they gave us pain cream, antibiotic pills and antibiotic cream. It just got worse. We took her again today and they did some blood work. They say she has chlamydia. They want to give her a shot and different antiobiotics. Does this make sense? My dog isn't around other dogs. How would she get that? This is a new Vet and I'm suspect of what she is telling us. Please let me know what you think. My dog's eyes are infected. Vet gave antibiotic pills/cream %26amp; Its worse. Now vet says Chlymidia. How...help?!?
The antibiotic she prescribed was a narrow spectrum variety that does not handle chlamydia well.

The shot they want to give is a mega-dose antibiotic to hit the chlamydia hard.

Possible that you or someone that comes in contact with your dog apparently had some chlamydia on their clothes and she rubbed her face against that area.My dog's eyes are infected. Vet gave antibiotic pills/cream %26amp; Its worse. Now vet says Chlymidia. How...help?!?

  • Shitzu has red itchy spots on belly can i use human antiitch cream or antibiotic?

please no opinions knowledgeable answers only thanksShitzu has red itchy spots on belly can i use human antiitch cream or antibiotic?
No you really shouldn't, firstly because it could be potentially harmful and secondly because it's likely to be pointless.

You don't know that these itchy spots are a bacterial infection (which is what antibiotics are for). It could be allergies. If you don't treat your dog regularly with a veterinary treatment then fleas are the most likely diagnosis.

You need to take the dog to a vet. Until you have a proper diagnosis, there's no point throwing random treatments at him. At worse you might make the problem worse, at best it won't do anything. Itchy skin and red patches have many possible causes.

    Chalice

EDIT: regarding Rena M's answer -these do not sound like hotspots (localised areas of skin infection, involving pus). Hot spots don't usually occur on the belly either.Shitzu has red itchy spots on belly can i use human antiitch cream or antibiotic?
Not without checking with your vet first. Dogs are not small humans and some medications we can use are toxic to dogs. For example both Tylenol and ibuprofen are toxic. The dosages of medications are also different. An an example of this is benedryl. Dogs require a greater amount of this drug than people do. Without seeing these spots it's hard to tell weather it is allergy related or if it is an infection. Your vet will be able to determine this.
u know some things aren't good for the dog but good for human . some stuff we use might not work on your dog becarefull ok?use things that r good for your dog n only good for your dog ... Dont feed it human chocolate, its posonios to dogs
I am not a vet...but every time one of my dog's has an allergy I am told to use benedryl. We go to the vet and they get a shot and then we are told to use benedryl. A precaution would be go to the vet, but you could try a little benedryl first.
If you put any topical ointment on you will need to get a collar to prevent the dog from licking it off. Figure out what is causing the spots and correct the problem. My dog had red itchy spot there were a result of food allergies. I there are brands specifically for food allergies that prevent the spots. Unfortunately, they are the in the mid to high end of the dog food price range.
Those are hot spots go to the grocrey store and ask for the medicine. Almost all places have it.

    Antibiotic or topical cream?

my cat has acne, yes, cats do get acne, can i put antibacterial ointment on it or tpical cream. (they're both human stuff) or is it too dangerous?Antibiotic or topical cream?
I would not use anything for humans because the ingredients may cause reactions in cats and since the drug is not intended for animals, there would be no warning against it. Also, it is easy for cats to get stuff in their mouth through cleaning (except right on the back of their neck) so if the acne is all over, it might be dangerous since the cat could ingest anything you put on her. I would call the vet and see what they recommend (vet calls are usually free) or just bring her in!Antibiotic or topical cream?
Don't use human anything on an animal unless it's prescribed by a vet.

Feline acne starts as small, oily black plugs in the chin, much like blackheads, which may progress to red, itchy bumps, which may become infected. Treatment varies, but most veterinarians will recommend daily cleaning with an antibiotic soap, followed by a topical ointment, either antibiotic, or anti-fungal. Oral antibiotics may also be prescribed, as well as a scrub with hydrogen peroxide.

If he was diagnosed with feline acne, why didn't the veterinarian give you an idea on what to do?

Antibiotic eye cream required for newborns in my state - can I get an exemption due to allergies?

I am severly allergic to all known topical antibiotics and don't want to take the risk of my baby having an allergic reaction, in her eyes of all places! I live in WA where it is mandatory but in this case where it could cause severe harm if I passed on this allergy to my baby, can I apply for an exemption? How?

Also, the only reason for the eye cream is so the baby won't get an eye infection from the mother if the mother has STD's...which I don't have (and have never had). It's not even necessary for my baby, why risk harming her eyes at birth?Antibiotic eye cream required for newborns in my state - can I get an exemption due to allergies?
I had my son in WA 20 months ago. I said I didn't want him having the eye cream, they said ';okay'; and that was that.

I don't think it's required, just recommended.Antibiotic eye cream required for newborns in my state - can I get an exemption due to allergies?
I have nothing to add but ';Way to go, lovelymrsm!'; You DO have all the rights, even if hospitals don't like to let on about that sometimes.

We declined the eye fussing with no problems.
You probably can, it is like the exemption forms for immunizations. You might be able to get a medical exemption from your doctor. Honestly, if you have been tested for STD/SDI's then there is no reason to need the eye cream. It is all a money making scam. Just try and google the exemption form for Washington. Good luck.
I know this is a long post, but I have a lot of information for you. Nothing-I repeat *NOTHING*-medical is required of you. No matter *WHAT* the doctors tell you, you don't have to do it-it is your legal right to refuse any and all types of medical treatment for you and your child. This includes *EVERYTHING* including all tests, vaccinations, and routine procedures.

You need to tell your doctor (and the doctor who is delivering you while you are in labor, if they're not the same-as well as the nursing staff and the on call pediatrician) that you refuse the eye cream. They *will* try to tell you that you aren't allowed to refuse, but *YOU* tell *THEM* that you know your rights and that you are willing to sign an AMA (against medical advice) acknowledgement and waiver but that you refuse to allow your child to be treated in that way. There is nothing that they can do to force you or your child to have this (or any other) treatment done and if they try to force the situation tell them (even if you're not going to) that you are going to call your attorney. They'll straighten up really fast.

Also-if they try to force anything on you or your baby you have the right to leave the hospital immediately. You are *not* required to give them a reason, you are *not required* to get permission or ';check out';-if you feel that strongly about not getting this treatment, you can pack your bags, take your baby, and leave. They will try to stop you, of course, but this is still America and you can still do whatever it is that you feel is best for you and your baby whether the doctors like it or not.

P.S. (Sorry, I know this is long) I did some research on the drops you were talking about and learned online that silver nitrate (one type of drop that they use on newborns) can actually *cause* eye irritation up to and including *blindness* by itself even if the mother does not have an infection that would cause the baby problems. There is an alternative, called erythromycin, but it is still a cream and does still have occurances of causing eye irritation and eye infections in newborns. There *IS* a natural alternative to these eye drops which will help your baby and also avoid the cream itself. Washing the eyes with a warm echinacea root decoction is an excellent, safe, and effective alternative to the conventional ointment. This eyewash can also be diluted with mother's milk, if any is available, and it is fine for this new milk to go into tender new eyes (it may even do that anyway by accident if you are nursing!)

Anyway, sorry again for the long post. Good luck to you and your baby!

A week ago I cut my finger, now its swollen&painful in spite of antibiotic cream. Should I call my doctor?

I got a deep cut to my finger last week, working with clean plexiglass (about 2-4mm deep, 15mm long, 2-3mm wide, along the left side at the last knuckle on my index finger, where the nerve bundles run). I kept pressure on it enough at first so it bled very little. I washed it often with antoseptic cleaner and bandaged it with antibiotic cream, every few hours for the first three days. After that, I kept washing it, but I stopped bandaging it because it had scabbed over. It's been a week since the injury, and now my entire finger is swollen and difficult to move on its own (I can use my other hand to bend the finger, but its painful). However, I DO have a disease (fibromyalgia) that cuases my hands and feet to get swollen sometimes, but the finger is always swollen, even when the rest of my hand isn't. Should I call my doctor right now, in case the cut got deeply infected? Or is it alright to just wait until I see my doctor for my usual appointment and bring it up then (in 15 days)?A week ago I cut my finger, now its swollen%26amp;painful in spite of antibiotic cream. Don't take any chances - go to the doctor right now! A friend of mine punctured his hand and wouldn't go to the doctor. Don't let it go too long so it doesn't get infected. Is tipple antibiotic ointment good to use on a burn or should I go to the store and get some burn cream?
The best thing you could do would be go to the ER or doctor and have the burn taken care of properly. A burn that damages skin to the extent you are describing is a pretty serious affair. Burn creams are meant for cases of ';I wash frying chicken, and got a grease pop burn';, not the sort you are talking about. A burn of that sort really needs to be properly evaluated and treated, to help you avoid big problems and a nasty scar.

It seems to be irritating her skin to where now she is loosing feathers and the infected area doesn't seem to be getting better. I wonder if I should continue with the remedy the vet seems to think will work or if it is actually making it worse. Could she need a shot of some sort to increase the antibiotic element? Cortisone or Antibiotic Cream on a Cat?

My cat has been scratching just below her ear for a few days and now I have noticed that she's gotten the spot a little bloody and it is continually irritating her.

I am wondering if it would be safe to try applying average human OTC hydro-cortisone cream or triple-antibiotic cream on the area. The spot is sort of between her eye and ear.

My concern is - would ingestion of either cream be harmful (since she is probably going to scratch and rub the spot and later on, and then lick her paws.) And, would the cream getting into her eyes be harmful - she might rub her paw against the spot and inadvertently get it into her eyes.

Should I just leave the spot alone? It's about the size of a dime. I don't really have the money to take her to a vet right now, though I suppose if it became an absolute necessity I could try to work something out. Just trying to avoid that for now if there's something else that can be done instead.Cortisone or Antibiotic Cream on a Cat?
Typically when cats scratch at their ears like this, they have ear mites. I would consider taking her to the vet. If she continues to scratch often times they will create an ear hematoma which will need to be drained and receive antibiotics. Ear mites are very common in cats and the medication is an OTC med - you can either use drops or you can purchase Revolution (topical medication applied once a month that also treats fleas). Otherwise, you can use either the hydrocortisone or triple antibiotic - they're both safe, but I do'nt think either will solve your problem! Best wishes!

Edit: Regarding the $$ thing - I would definately treat for ear mites. You can get the drops for less than $5 most of the time and again, they are an OTC product. Otherwise, you can purchase one dose of Revolution, but that's more expensive ($15-25 depending on the clinic).Cortisone or Antibiotic Cream on a Cat?
I would leave the spot alone, and see if it will heal up on its own. Is there a reason she is scratching there? She could potentially have fleas, ear mites, or just an ear infection. You should just keep an eye on the area for a possible reason for the scratching. If you want to wipe the wound off with a warm washcloth, it might make it feel a little better too.
Cortisone cream only on the advice of your vet.

Antibiotic Cream in small amounts should be okay.

Antibiotic Cream alternative anyone know one?

Ok so Here's the LONG Version here. I had a mole removed from my arm 2 weeks ago. I was using Neosporin for a week and it started itching and breaking out BAD! well the doctor gave me a perscription for an antibiotic ointment. The pharmacy accidentally gave me the antibiotic cream the itching %26amp; hives were gone! Well I had to get my refill and it is in ointment form and guess what I am breaking back out. I think I am allergic to PETROLATUM! So does anybody know of an over the counter antibiotic cream that I could use if I ever had to in the future. (BTW I Do see my doctor in the morning so it isn't going to be a case of ';GO SEE A DOCTOR'; I already have an appointment) I am just wanting to know if there is an antibiotic cream I could use that has NO Petro in it if ever in the future I need an antibiotic ointment/cream again. Thanks! :)Antibiotic Cream alternative anyone know one?
I am allergic to Neosporin, too. Your question reminded me that I haven't used ointment on anything in years. I clean cuts and burns with hydrogen peroxide, and I use ';wound wash'; that they have in the drug store. The brand name is Bactine, but the generics are cheaper. It has an antiseptic and a painkiller in it. Once it is clean and I have the antiseptic on it, I cover it. No need for ointment.

There are a bunch of other antiseptics out there, but this always works for me.Antibiotic Cream alternative anyone know one?
Just use a 50% peroxide and 50% water to clean the wound, and keep it covered, that way the infection and germs are kept at bay.

When I had surgery, my incision split open, and that is what the doctor had me use, and also some betadine ointment. After a week or so, it was just the peroxide/water. Plain peroxide makes the wound heal from the outside in too fast. You want it to heal from the inside out. That is what my doctor told me.

    Hope this helps.
Just make sure your doctor writes it for a cream and not an ointment.

However, I've never heard of anyone being allergic to petrolatum.

You could be allergic to neosporin.

You shouldn't have to do anything but use the cream. It should work within a few days. Was it Fusidin?

No kissing for you for a few days then!!!I have a lip infection.. doctor gave me antibiotic cream??
inner lip or outer lip?, soap and water is fine, or you could try salt water, this works well if you can stand it

    rn-darla
You can use boiled water from kettle, as long as you leave it cool down slightly firstly.
If there is pus, try to remove it gently with a wet cotton swab. If it doesn't come off, try to apply some cream first and let it on for a while, the crust underneath will become moist, and cleaning will get easier.
There is a tremendous amount of bacteria in the mouth. Salt water swishes will help or peroxide swishes periodically will help. There is also cankor sore medication that will help keep the bacteria down.

Can i give my child paracetomal when he is taking an antibiotic and a fungal cream?

That is a question for the NHS helpline. Can i give my child paracetomal when he is taking an antibiotic and a fungal cream?
The drug handout that came with your medications should tell you about drug interactions. Tylenol does not cause an interaction with most all drugs and should be safe but that is why it is important to read your drug handout that comes with each of your medications. Can i give my child paracetomal when he is taking an antibiotic and a fungal cream?
as long as the antibiotic contains no paracetamol? then yes thats absolutely fine. you just cant mix two different paracetamols. read the leaflet with the paracetamol and it should have a list of other medications you can not mix it with.
Should be fine, but i'd ring the pharmacist to ask if i were you. Ibuprofren may be better, that's what the doctor recommended for me and i'm on amoxycillin at the moment for an ear infection.
I would definatly consult yoour pharmasist or doctor to double check but paracetamol is so mild you can take it with anything including ibrupophen
shouldnt you be asking your childs doctor that.
yes, I would think so but to be sure ask the pharmacist.

What works better? antibiotic ointment or cream?

Silly question about triple antibiotic cream for babies....?

Can I use it on my 11.5 month old daughter? She got her first ';real cut'; today...not bad at ALL but just a little scratch on her face and I washed it with warm water and mild soap but can I put ointment on it? what kind?

Thankyou! ( clueless 1st time mom here...LOL )Silly question about triple antibiotic cream for babies....?
Yes you can. Neosporin, A%26amp;D ointment and Bactracin are all antibiotic ointments that can be used anytime for rashes, cuts or scrapes. You can even buy bandaids that have the ointment already in the bandaids so you dont have to mess with creamsSilly question about triple antibiotic cream for babies....?
You can use basically any OTC antibiotic cream, just use a small amount and put a bandaid over it to help discourage her from eating it (unless she's going to eat the bandaid then skip the bandaid).

Nursing mothers can, and do, use normal antibiotic creams like polysporin on their nipples in very small amounts if they get an infected cut. As long as its used sparingly there is no need to wash it off, so a small amount on your baby's skin is fine.
With the cut being on her face, i would skip it. Soap and water is fine. Antibiotic ointment in her eyes or mouth could hurt her, so i would just leave the scrap open to dry and heal on it's own. If it seems to be getting infected or something then i would try a very small amount. Read the labeling instructions, if it says for external use only that means not good for eyes and mouths, so you have to be careful!
no you dont want that stuff accidently in her mouth..you dont want to kill your child with kindness..Soap and water is fine ..dont be over reactive and start applying every poison the FDA has labled safe on a baby..because it isnt safe
I'd use Bacitracin instead of Neosporin... not sure if it really matters by that age or not though. I was told when my son was an infant to stick with Bacitracin, but 1 year, I'm sure either is fine. I'd probably just put whichever I could find on my 15 month old.

    %26amp; don't listen to Judge Judy :-)
Yep, you can use polysporin or something like it.

Are you nursing I can't remember otherwise you can put some B-milk on it. I do that for most of Zoey's cuts and it kinda sounds hoky but it works:)
skip it -wash the wound with warm soapy water and keep it clean %26amp; dry.
    yes

  • Question about an idodine cream & a triple antibiotic cream.?

Which is better, an iodine cream that contains 1% ';real'; iodine or an antibiotic cream like neosporin? I have an ingrown toenail that is a little infected I think. I pulled out a few shards of ingrown nail. The tip corner is the only thing that hurts now, no more sweling. I cant afford to go to the doc. The creams say they pevent infection. I have been soaking the toe in saltwater, putting peroxide, and one of those creams on. That should prevent infection right. I do it like twice a day and put a bandaide over it. It should not get a serious infection like gangrene right? I dont have diabetes or anything.Question about an idodine cream %26amp; a triple antibiotic cream.?
The very best thing to do at this point - my son has the same problem from time to time %26amp; here's what his dr said (this way you get dr advice but don't have to go to the dr) Soak your foot in epsom salts dissolved in hot water a couple of times a day until the redness %26amp; soreness goes away. Don't bandage it - if possible wear open toed shoes until it heals. It won't get seriously infected if you keep doing the soaks. In the future, keep your toe nail trimmed straight across to prevent it from becoming ingrown again. The peroxide isn't as good an idea but it can't hurt to put some of the triple antibiotic ointment on each night. Good luck %26amp; I hope you feel better soon!!!Question about an idodine cream %26amp; a triple antibiotic cream.?
I'm not sure which is better, you are definitely keeping it clean enough tho but be carefull how wet you are keeping it. Try to keep it uncovered when you can and let it breath.

I don't think u should have picked out the part that was ingrown tho cause now it will probably keep growing back that way. Seems it really isn't the nails fault as much as the skin that grows over the edges fault. This site said to put cotton under the edge to get it to grow up and over the skin.
You aare doing just fine with your treatment to the toe except ditch the hydrogen peroxide. It kills living tissue.
Drop the peroxide and keep soaking the foot as you have been. Dry it and apply the triple-antibiotic ointment as long as you have reddness and inflammation. When it clears up; just use the soap and water. Please wash you hands when you do these things or you might get a staph outbreak on other parts of your body. You can put on the ointment and slip on a sock. It should improve in a few days. Also, aspirin will reduce the inflammation and pain (take with food).

Can i use antibiotic cream for hemroids?

Hemorrhoids aren't infected so antibiotic cream won't do you any good.

A hemorrhoid is an area around your anus where the muscle fibers have parted and allowed a blood vessel to pop out. It happens to pregnant women (all that extra weight and blood pressure from the extra fluid with the baby), people who gain a lot of weight, if you're constipated a lot and do a lot of straining, people who do a lot of sitting for a living (truckers are prime candidates) or it's possible that it's a hereditary predisposition.

The best thing to do is put pressure on the hemorrhoid pushing the blood vessel back in to where it should be. Using an anti-inflammatory cream or ointment to decrease the swelling will help also. Witch hazel wipes work too. Also, if you are going to have a bowel movement and you've been constipated or the hemorrhoid is bad, use a little personal lube (yeah, like for sex) in your anus before hand. It helps to decrease the amount of strain with passage.

Otherwise, increase your fiber (psyllium capsules every evening with a full glass of water), eat whole grains and lightly cooked veggies, high fiber bread and crackers to make stool softer and drink at least 8 cups of water a day. It will also help if you do mild abdominal exercise to increase the strength of your pelvic floor (google it) and start walking regularly (if you don't exercise).

Hope that helped. Good luck. Can i use antibiotic cream for hemroids?
Try some Witch Hazel instead. Can i use antibiotic cream for hemroids?
I have had hemorrhoids since childhood (from a lot of heavy lifting growing up on a dairy farm). For the most part I just tolerated them as they would come and go. I found that the itching and discomfort could be held to a minimum by keeping the area clean and dry and by using an anti-itch cream (1% hydrocortizone over the counter). Six years ago I decided I had had enough and went looking on the Internet for a solution (other than surgery). Honestly I was a little disgusted and annoyed with all the unproven claims that this oil or that cryrogenic device' were the answers to my problem. Got a real laugh when I read one website claiming that if I rubbed their miracle oil on the bottom of my feet that would somehow help my butt! That lead me to contacting herbalists here in the U.S. to see if there was some existing formula or combination of herbs that could help with the inflammation. (I really don't like taking prescription drugs.) Long story short, there's a product called Nature's Perfect Remedy that really does eliminate the swelling. If you Google for it this url comes up: http://www.people-search-global.com/hemo鈥?/a>
you could, but it won't relieve any of the discomfort or swelling and maybe cause a local allergic reaction.

WOULD YOU PUT A BAND AID AND ANTIBIOTIC CREAM ON A OPEN ACNE WOUND ';CYST'; OR WHAT TO PREVENT SCAR?

read in this blog about acne and how to prevent and treat http://acnedestroyer.blogspot.com/

My cat cut his paw on a piece of metal... what should i do for him... can i just put some antibiotic cream on?

First, you need to clean it w/ some antibacterial soap. Because they can also get lockjaw, if you know what piece of metal it cut itself on, make sure it isn't rusty. If it is, you may want to take it to the vet so they can give it a tetanus shot. If it wasn't rusty, it should be fine. Just wash w/ antibacterial soap. DO NOT put antibiotic cream on it. You don't want a would to stay moist. You want it to dry out so it will scab over. The cat will take care of cleaning the wound. If it's an outside cat, keep it inside for a few days to let the wound scab over. If you see any swelling or deep red color, pus, or anything like that, take it to a vet immediately. Don't bandage it up either. If the wound is so deep it needs a bandage, it may need stitches so again, take it to the vet.My cat cut his paw on a piece of metal... what should i do for him... can i just put some antibiotic cream on?
The best idea is to see a vet. I have dealt with cut paws, and if your cat is an outdoor pet, the wound could become infected. The antibiotic cream is a good ideas, but appling it could cause stress on the cat, and you might get biten. My cat cut his paw on a piece of metal... what should i do for him... can i just put some antibiotic cream on?
They do a wonderful job of taking care of it on their own. Unless it swells, just let it be.
    vet...now
Dude, go to the veterinarian. You don't want a cat walking around with an open wound, especially if it's an outdoor cat. Lots of viruses and diseases are spread through body fluid contact. My cat contracted, and died of, FeLV through saliva. You should probably make sure the cat's up on his vaccinations while you're there.

My dog has a rash on her back can i put some antibiotic cream on it?

Like humans, dogs can get rashes for various reasons, so the likelihood of being able to resolve the problem with an antibiotic cream is questionable. I would place a call to your vet and ask him/her what to do. Describe the rash (texture, colour, etc.) and your vet may be able to give you a probable cause without seeing your pet in person, or he/she may want to see the dog in order to diagnose and treat the problem. If it is a bacterial infection, your vet will have a specific antibiotic in mind, and unless you have dealt with the problem before it is unlikely that it will be an antibiotic you have on hand.

From experience, my top three guesses for the causes of a rash on a dog are:

Contact dermatitis (allergic reaction) - especially at this time of the year

Scabies - a skin rash caused by mites that is usually associated with coming into contact with a fox

Sarcoptic mange - again, this is caused by mites.

Those are the most likely possible culprits, but only your vet will be able to tell you for sure.

  • Antibiotic cream or tablets?

I am going to the GP tomorrow to seek help for my acne. It's been a problem since i was 14 and i am nearly 19 now. Last week i had the worst breakout so far and my family has now asked if i could go to the doctors. My younger brother visited the GP for the same reasons and was given the choice of either antibiotic cream or Oxytetracycline tablets as his treatment. He has chosen the tablets but my acne is different to his. So i would like to know what treatment, in your opinion, should i choose?Antibiotic cream or tablets?

Can i use this cream as an antibiotic cream for my nose piercing?any medical knowledgeable people please help?

This is urgent...this cream is called FUCIDIN H. it's an antibiotic cream.

    the contents are fusidic acid

    hydrocortisone acetate

    potassium sorbate

I bought this cream at a pharmacy.can i use this for my fresh nose piercing? the pharmacist said it's for infection and to reduce redness. Can i use this cream as an antibiotic cream for my nose piercing?any medical knowledgeable people please help?
That medication is normally used for dermatitis or other skin rashes/infections. I wouldn't use it for your nose piercing. Try H2Ocean, its a salt water base spray used for piercings. You can get it from any ';good'; tattoo/piercing shop. It runs about $5 buck. If your looking for an ointment try anti bacterial ointment. Can i use this cream as an antibiotic cream for my nose piercing?any medical knowledgeable people please help?
no. Fusidic acid is a very poor anti-infective. Hydrocortisone will reduce the swelling but increase the infection risk. Potassium sorbate is not an active ingredient.

take my advice, take out the nose ring and apply some Polysporin.

    Antibiotic cream on pimples?

Would it work to put antibiotic cream like mycitracin on a pimple? Or even all over my face to prevent them? I know acne is caused by bacteria but I have never heard of using this.Antibiotic cream on pimples?
actually yes it does work o use antibiotics on my face and it works well!

i went to my regular mdeical doctor cuz my face was breaking out bad and he gave me a perscription of antibiotics!

and he said that it will prevent acne!

    so yes!

go to a medical docto and she what they say!

my acne only took 4-6 day to clear up with antibiotics!Antibiotic cream on pimples?
    no

antibiotics are for infections not pimples
It actually works really well. I have perfectly clear skin because of it.

in combination with OXY facewash it is brilliant. polysporien works. dont but it ALL over your face. just into your problem spots :)
This shouldn't work. Acne isn't only bacteria, it is a combination. This may sound rude but, ';If pimples are caused by bacteria, why aren't we covered in them?'; Just wash your face a lot, clean your pillow cases regularly to remove dirt, and use a good pimple cream.

Is it safe to use triple antibiotic cream on a cat? ?

my cats ear is infected the whole ear its self not the inside of the ear its swollen and ozzing so can i use peroxide and triple antibiotic cream on my cat if not what ?Is it safe to use triple antibiotic cream on a cat? ?
    There are a few human meds that are suitable for cats, but do a search to make sure. In other words, if you are thinking Neosporin (which can be okay for cats) you would do a search like ';Neosporin cats (felines).';

HOWEVER...do you know why the ear is swollen and oozing, because to me, it sounds like a vet visit. Ear issues can come from a number of things, and care for the ear is important as ear problems can disrupt a cat's balance severely.

Peroxide around the ears is not a good idea, even diluted, as it can damage delicate skin tissue (which the ear is) and if any should drip into the ear canal, it can burn and damage the ear drum, and you're in for more problems.

Without knowing what might have caused the issue, my recommendation is to see the vet.Is it safe to use triple antibiotic cream on a cat? ?
No. Do not use anything designed for human use on your cat. If you put anything on her ear she will injest it when she is cleaning herself and it could poison her. You need to get advice from your vet (and probably antibiotics) as it sounds as if your cat has an abscess. Keep it clean by washing it with warm water on a cotton wool pad until you can get her to a vet.
DON'T use peroxide! It can really damage eyes. What you can use is a clean cloth with warm water %26amp; a non tearing baby shampoo. Rinse well! No baby shampoo? Then just use warn water.

Forget the ointment as your cat will just find a way to rub it off.

Your cat needs to be started on an oral antibiotic so please get it to the vet ASAP!
no you cant use any of those on cat you MUST TAKE CAT TO VET AND VET WILL PRESCRIBE MEDICINE FOR CAT
Take her to the vet. Do not use human products on your kitties!
TAKE HER TO THE VET! and get medicine for them
i think you could but ring your vet first!
Clean with peroxide and then use a small amount of the cream. With the whole ear infected, your cat needs to see a vet. Sounds like an abscess that is draining. The infection from the abscess enters the system traveling through the blood stream and causing more infection. Cleaning it is fine and will promote healing at that site. It will not clear the internal infection. A vet will give antibiotics and the cat will fully recover.

My doctor has given me a contraceptive pill AND an antibiotic AND a topical cream to fight acne..is this 2much

Basically, he has given me Diane 35 (which i knew nothing about until i googled it just now, and im now petrified) and an antibiotic called Minomycin. My question is, will the acne antibiotic make the contraceptive less effective??

thanksMy doctor has given me a contraceptive pill AND an antibiotic AND a topical cream to fight acne..is this 2much
Your acne treatment will make your BC pills protection less effective, I would use an alternate protection to be save.

I would also ask your doc. to prescribe an alternative BC pill. I guess as long as you don't conceive, you won't have to worry about how the medication will effect your baby.

Diane probably will never be approved by the US FDA because of the theoretical risk of cyproterone acetate caused birth defects (feminization of male fetuses).

I would also talk to a nutritionist because what you eat will effect your skin. I would eat healthy nutritious foods (organic when you can, avoid anything white (sugar, flour rice %26amp; greasy fast foods) %26amp; drink lots of water.

It has taken science 10,000 years to figure out that women are not men and that they need specialized treatment, women often have a difficult time finding this kind of care.My doctor has given me a contraceptive pill AND an antibiotic AND a topical cream to fight acne..is this 2much
yes antibiotics are supposed to decrease the effectivity of bc pill, but if he gave it to you for your acn茅; you have nothing to worry about. He is your doctor and he knows how to give you.

But if you are not looking for having the contraceptive protection that the pill gives you, you have nothing to worry about, you have to be very careful when using antibiotics on bc pill as you can get pregnant.

But I understand it is for your acn茅, as you know acn茅 is a hormonal problem so you will be fine with Diane 35 I hope it works for you it is an excllent hormonal pill for acn茅.

if you are very concerned and notice some changes you don麓t like, caqll your doc and tell him.

    Good luck! ;D
The antibiotic will lessen the effectiveness of the birth control at preventing pregnancy but will still help with your acne
Minomycin reduces the efficacy of ';some'; bc pills. I'd recommend double-checking with your doctor about whether he believes that you will still be protected.

  • Question about an antibiotic cream?

It's very difficult to get it to every area of the infected skin (Long story, would prefer not to go into it, just take my word that it's not really an option).

Say I get the first 4cm of skin, but am unable to reach the last 1cm. Assuming the cream works, would I be able to completely cure the infection, the cream spreading to areas I didn't quite cover? Or would I only cure 4cm of it, and then the 1cm would reinfect everything when I stop using the cream?Question about an antibiotic cream?
    Hmmm...

You don't mention what kind of infection, the anatomical area, or the consistency of the cream. I think the answer depends on all three of those things. Can you get into the area to wash or rinse it? Can you spread the cream on with something like a Q-tip rather than a finger? If not, could you use something else in a more liquid form that would reach the area?

I think I would ask either your doctor or a pharmacist if there is a different way to treat the area you're concerned about. They can tell you whether its going to be a problem if you don't reach the area, or how you might be able to get the medication delivered to it. If I knew a few more details, I might be able to make some suggestions.

I have 2nd degree burn (7th day) have been cleaning/ antibiotic cream/dessing daily. Should I air it now?

Please go to your doctor's and seek his advice, you will still be open to infection if the burn is still weeping.

I recommend reading the cautions on the cream container, and possibly calling your doctor. I don't think an ER visit would be necessary. Call doctor first.Twenty month old got into antibiotic cream is it safe or do i need to take him to doctor?
Well, if they ingested it, got it in their eyes, etc I would take the child to the doctor.

If he ate it take him to the doctor.
it all depends on if he/she ate it, and how much he/she ate, it wouldn't be a bad thing to take him/her to the doctor just in case.
Something similar happened to me last year with my than 2 1/2 year old had gotten into icy hot.

We called poison control and they really helped us out.

    I would suggest poison control

    GOOD LUCK!
being a mother of 6 kids, with 2 of them being the ages of 3 and 2. They have put a lot of things in their mouths. (and I try very hard to keep every thing up) At one time or another, one or the other have ate baby ointment, tried to drink shampoo, licked bug spray, drank a half a bottle of baby tylenol etc etc. Poison Control is your best bet. I've not had to take either one to the doctor for any of these problems because of the small indigestion. And the wonderful way Poison control can get all info and reassure you everything will be fine.

acne comes out through the face skin.

It is best way to make balance among five organs.

    The following is the case.

As you see in the image, The cheek was covered with crust of sore and scab from purulent pimples.

He is a sensitive teenager. He was getting to avoid public places and to be passive stand in school activities due to his devil-looked face.

It is natural to guess that his parents have taken him lots of dermatologists and first class hospital and really have.

His mother said that the creams of dermatologists made his cheek more crusted and sore oozed from crevices between crusts. After several times of trial in the hospital, finally she came to seach for other way of treatment.

She have fortunately heard from her neighbor of Harabi Clinic of east asian medicine-speciallized in herbal treament.
